Improving Highway Safety
Services We Offer

Inlaid Road Markings
• Offering the most durable and reflective methyl methacrylate products on the market, count on Dunwell Innovations Inc. for all your surface mount or inlaid Durable Pavement Marking (DPM) installation needs. Our professionally trained staff provide accuracy and precision in the application of glass bead and/or element using single or double drop methods. Our retro-reflectivity is guaranteed to meet ministry specs.

Reflectors
• Whether your project involves reflectors for new pavement or a highway maintenance replacement program, Dunwell Innovations Inc. offers RPM’s (raised/surface mount), recessed or concrete barrier mount options in yellow, white, mono or bi-directional markers. Diamond blade and carbide bit grinds are available, depending on the job specifications of the groove you need.

Rumble Strips
• Rumble strips alert the travelling public through visual, auditory and tactile stimulation and are one of the most effective ways of gaining a driver’s attention. They have been used on highways, at stop signs and in a school zone for the visually impaired.
• Our uniquely designed carbide bit system allows for the flexibility to mill transverse, straddle, shoulder, median, stop line, continuous or intermittent asphalt grinding patterns.

Get to Know Us
Dunwell Innovations works across western Canada with various provincial departments, local municipalities and highway pavement and maintenance contractors. Since our inception in 1996, we have been responsible for the installation of over 90% of BC’s rumble strips and reflectors on thousands of kilometers of BC highways.
We have been asked to implement innovative highway applications in the promotion of public safety on roads that are deemed to be in dangerous locations or that experience treacherous conditions. The quality of our work is reflected in our ability to meet mandated specifications for all our services.
Our ability to adapt to new technologies, trial new products and embrace changes in the industry has been instrumental in our growth and development as an industry leader. We look forward to serving your needs in the installation of highway safety products.

Road Safety

Slow Down & Move Over. It's the law in British Columbia
Just a friendly reminder, when you see emergency or maintenance vehicles on the side of the highway (or roads), it is the law to slow down and move over (if safe to do so).
This simple courtesy helps ensure worker safety on the job and that we all get home safely to our families.
It will also save you money and demerit points on your license.

The Cone Zone Campaign
When spring construction season ramps up, the Cone Zone BC campaign kicks in to raise awareness for roadside worker safety. The numbers speak for themselves:

These startling stats make it clear drivers need to undergo a major shift in attitude to help protect people representing a wide range of professions – from traffic controllers and construction crews, to emergency personnel and truck drivers tending to their vehicles.
A good place to start thinking about roadside worker safety is by hearing their stories. We all need to respect the Cone Zone.
